Goodnight, Sleep Tight . . .

Matt was hiding so he didn't have to go to bed. Score - Mom: 1, Matt: 0. Goodnight my sweet boy.

Is There a Dr. in the House?

We are six weeks into the year and my family has been more sick than I ever remember. I believe the culprit is the Lifetime child center, so while I've been taking care of my health, my kids are getting sick. Ugh!

I started thinking last night about how sick everyone has been, here are the numbers:
* I've called the clinic about 9 times this year
* We've visited the clinic 6 times, plus we have a recheck scheduled for later this week.
* I've had prescriptions filled 6 times
* Too many hours of lost sleep to count
* Ears have been infected 3 times
* Drew had strep throat 1 time
* Matt had either an eye infection or at the very least a clogged tear duct
* Ryan had RSV - which lead to a lot of the above
* I think everyone in the family at some point in the past 6 weeks has had an upset stomach, fever or other flu like symptoms
* Ryan has gotten 2 teeth and while it isn't an illness you might just as well count it as one seeing they make kids miserable.

I think I'm going to go wash my hands - again!

Go Pack Go!

As you can see we were all in the spirit yesterday as we cheered on my beloved Packers to their 4th Super Bowl victory. Matt who refused to wear that jersery earlier this year quickly put his on after Drew raided my closet for a jersery. Guess we need to get them more Packer wear for next season. Way to go Pack!

The Begining and The End

Last week I attended Matt's Preschool singing program, I just love going to these and I don't think they'll ever get old to me. As usual the paparazzi was there in full force. We were able to capture the entire program on our video camera and also got their welcome song, "Rise and Shine" and their "Goodbye song" on my other camera. I appoligize in advance if you get the Rise and Shine song in your head for the rest of the day.

Dinner is Served

For those of you who love looking at babies eating food, here is your photo. I'm sure there will be more once we venture into fruits and veggies later this year.

Fun at the MOA

Lately Ryan has been getting a lot of "air time" on this blog so I thought I would include a photo of Drew and Matt from a recent outing to the Mall of America to ride the rides during a recent day off of school. A perfect way to spend a winter day here in snowy and cold Minnesota.

5 Months and Growing

Ryan turned 5 months old last week and as you can see in this picture he has 2 teeth to already. Has been rolling over for about a month (just back to front) is eating cereal at night and for the most part falls asleep around 9 pm and wakes up between 8 and 9 in the morning. During his free time he loves watching his brothers and when they aren't around he's perfectly fine watching TV, but of course mom prefers to not start that habit any sooner than we need to.

Everyone Needs a Friend

And when you don't have many you just make them up. Matt has had these imaginary friends since early summer. Ikey and Vayvar (I'm not even sure if I'm spelling those correctly) are part of our daily conversations and I'm always amazed at how vivid the details are that Matt shares with us. Most recently Ikey had a birthday (right around the time Craig had his). Ikey was turning 6 and Vayvar is 9, but sometimes they are teenagers and once Vayvar was 99. While looking at a book about Target Field the other day Matt pointed out pictures of Ikey's mom and then informed me that Ikey's mom works in the building downtown with the circle on the top. We hear about Ikey more than Vayvar, but sometimes additional friends with very random names also make an appearance. Ikey has also been known to play professional baseball and hockey, and Matt will point him out when he sees him on TV. But one thing has been constant, these guys live in the condos by Grandma's house. For the record Matt never talks to them like they are in the room with us just tells us about them like they are his real friends that he interacts with on a regular basis. You just can't make this stuff up, but he obviously does.
