Basketball Camp

Matt attended Basketball camp this week and LOVED it.  He loves everything related to basketball so it wasn't a surprised that he loved it. He even got a ball and a t-shirt for participating.  And of course learned a little bit about basketball too. On the last day the presented their skills to the parents, check out his skills in the video below!

A trip to downtown

Once a summer we try to make a trip downtown to say hello to my old co-workers. If you asked the boys the highlight of the trip is either lunch in the food court or riding the train into downtown.

Free Entertainment

The other day while we were out and about we came across this construction site. Ryan LOVES diggers and such so we stopped to watch. We ended up watching them for a good 30 mins or more. We had such a good time that we actually make a quick run to the grocery store and bought cookies for all the guys working to say thanks for the entertainment.

Super Heros By Day, Brothers By Night.

The other day the boys came down dressed like this, I love their creativity and the fact that they were working together and of course this photo is priceless.

Rules are made to be broken

Not only does Ryan wear his flip flops on the wrong feet, he also wears them between the wrong toes.  If it doesn't bug him, I can't let it bug me.

Duluth - 2013

We took another quick trip to Duluth this summer for a mini-family vacation.  Here are some of our favorite photos.

We enjoyed the Aquarium.

Ryan enjoyed the aquarium so much that he needed a change of clothes after getting soaked in the Great Lakes.

Drew and Matt thought they were hot stuff drinking root beer out of what looked like beer bottles.

Skipping (or trying) rocks is always fun.

A great photo of the lift bridge at night.

Hi Mom!

Holding Split Rock Lighthouse in his hand.

Family Photos

Fun at the water park.

Did you want me to smile?

We got to see a big ship come in.

More rocks.

The End.

MulcahyFest - 2013

Here are some of our favorite photos from this year's MulcahyFest.

This year, our shirts had the McDonald's M with MulcahyFest and "over 500 served" on the front. The backs had the following for each person:
Ryan - Small Fry
Matt - Grimace
Drew - 8 piece McNugget
Craig - Cones
Cindy - Store Manager

This year we had a huge water slide that we borrowed from a friend and another small bouncy to keep the kids well entertained.

Ryan striking a pose while his friend Josh drives him around.

All the kids gathered quickly for a group photo when we told them we'd get the water balloons out.

Want to know how long it takes to go through about 200 water balloons?

Less than 5 minutes.

Shh. Don't tell mom I'm drinking pop!

4th of July Traditions

As most people who know me already know, I LOVE the 4th of July. It is such a great holiday, the weather is usually great, no gifts are expected and who doesn't love fireworks and parades. We usually take in the parade on the 4th and then spend the evening with some of our good friends to catch the local fireworks. Below are a few favorite photos from the day.

Priceless Father's Day Gift

As part of Craig's Father's Day gift we had these photos taken of the boys, this was one of my favorites. I like to call it my red, white and Drew photo.  Hope you like it too.

Weekly Park Play Dates

As part of our summer schedule, we have a standing park play date where we meet at a different park each week. It gives the kids a chance to wear off all that extra energy and is often a chance for the kids (and moms) to see some friends. It has become a fun tradition that we hope to keep up for a few more years.

Bad to the Bone

On this night, most of the boys in the neighborhood were riding bikes in the cul-de-sac, I had to take this photo to capture the moment in time. Look out Hyland Ave in 8 - 10 years!

That's How We Recycle.

One morning after a Twins game, Matt decided to use the helmet that we had gotten nachos in the night before as his cereal bowl. Now that's one way to recycle.

Take Me Out To The Ball Game!

Each year we try to take Drew and Matt to a Twins Game. Because they are both playing baseball, they are starting to actually enjoy watching the game and understanding more about it and will sit for most of a regular game, and of course the ice cream and mini-donuts help too.

Keeping up with the brothers

One night, while the older boys were at baseball, Ryan decided to raid their closet and put on some of their gear, this is what he found.

Sleeping Beauty

Ryan is famous for falling asleep anywhere but his bed. On this day I knew he was tired and he was fighting the nap. He had walked toward the front of the house and after it had been too quiet for too long I went to see what he was up to and this is what I found.

Malt Shop!

Earlier this summer we took the boys to a classic malt shop for lunch. As you can see, they enjoyed the malts (and burgers and fries).  It was yummy!

Gone Fishing!

The boys received fishing poles last year for their birthday so now at least once a summer we try to make an annual trip to one of the local lakes to drop a line in the water. The boys of course have a blast catching and releasing.

Lego Mania

The boys are slightly obsessed with Legos and a visit to our basement would confirm that. Legos are often on their wish list for birthday and holidays, this year was no exception. They each got one and spent about 5 - 6 hours straight working on their respective legos until they were completed. Below are the before and after photos.

Father's Day Photo

I was lucky enough to manage a photo of all 3 boys with Craig on Father's Day. We are so lucky to be blessed with these guys! I just love them all.

Shhh . . . Don't tell Drew & Matt

While Drew and Matt were outside playing, Ryan was raiding their stash of birthday money and putting it in his pockets. I couldn't help but take a photo of the crime in action.

Six & Eight?!?

I honestly can't tell you where the time has gone, it is hard to believe that we celebrated Drew's 8th birthday and Matt's 6th birthday in June. Seriously, where is the time going?

Check out those curls

This one's for the grandmas and all other curl lovers. Matt's hair doesn't usually get this long but lucky for all of you we were able to capture this photo. Someday I'm sure he'll hate that I took this photo.

Baseball Brothers

With the two older boys both playing ball, several weeks this summer we could be found at a baseball field 4 nights a week.  Needless to say, little brothers have just as much fun as the kids playing.

Love this one of Ryan running the bases while holding the snack in his hand.
