Outsmarted

So last night Drew and I are reading stories and I noticed he was picking his nose - gross I know. So instead of just telling him to stop I thought I would elevate the "warning". So I told him that he shouldn't pick his nose because if his finger got stuck then he couldn't play with his trains. He quickly replied that he'd have his other hand free. I've been outsmarted by my 4 year old.

We've Got Another Seamstress in the Family

Recently while Drew was getting himself dressed he decided to alter one of his shirts (brand new still had the tags on it mind you). It was originally a long-sleeved shirt that was made to look like 2 layered shirts, one short-sleeved over a long-sleeved. Well he took it upon himself to cut the long-sleeves off to make it a short-sleeve. I have to admit it was pretty funny, but still disappointing.

A+ in Art Class

On Drew's first day of preschool he colored this picture (he's classroom is "Clifford's Clubhouse"). I was so impressed at how well he stayed in the lines. I see a future coloring contest victory in our home.

Fashion Diva

Drew gets himself dressed each morning now without any help from us. He has master buttons and zippers. Now we just need to work on coordinating colors.

Momma Matt - #2

While getting ready for bed tonight, Matt decided that he needed to tuck his beloved "Tiggy" (a striped dinosaur) into bed. So Tiggy got his own blankie, but not before Tiggy needed a diaper put on, which Matt started to attempt all on his own and I helped him finish. There are now both fast asleep in his bed together. So sweet!
