The Tooth Fairy Comes Again

Matt has had his first loose tooth for a few weeks, but unlike his older brother, he did not want anyone touching it so we really couldn't tell how loose it really was. Well the other night Matt came into our room  at 4:30 the other morning and informed us that he had lost his tooth. He tell us that it just fell out and was on his shirt. We helped the very excited boy place his tooth into a Dixie cup and he then crawled into bed with us for the remainder of the night. Needless to say, he was very disappointed that the tooth fairy did not come in those few hours, but we assured him that she would come the next night. And of course she did. She left him a gold one dollar coin just like she has left Drew for all of his teeth.

Rock'n Ryan

Recently I was rocking Ryan before nap and he fell asleep (as did I). He hasn't fallen asleep in my arms in forever and it made me realize that it could be one of the last times. He's growing up so quickly, I can't believe he'll be three in August and off to preschool. Between watching him growing up, Matt getting ready for kindergarten and Drew having his first communion, I've been a little emotional. I'm feeling like the time is going by way too fast and as much as I want to speed things up so parts of our life can get easier, I know that it will continue to be on fast forward and as everyone tells you, it goes too fast. So I guess I have to take more time when I can to soak up all these little memories before they get away from us.

Techy Storytime

While reading stories to all the kids one afternoon, Matt needed to leave the room to get something and asked me to "pause it". Guess we need to have a little less screen time and a bit more story time.

Field Trip Prep

The other night after getting out of the shower Matt says, "Mom, tomorrow on my field trip I'm going to be hiking and am going to get sweaty so I should wear my body spray."

So sweet

Just when I want to put my foot down and not allow the kid in bed with us, I look and see how sweet and innocent he looks then my heart melts and I toss all the rules out the window.

Spring Sing

Matt had his last preschool concert a few weeks ago. As I've said before, I always love these types of things, they are always so fun to watch the kids perform.

Drew's First Communion

On Sunday, April 28th, we celebrated Drew's First Holy Communion. It was a wonderful service and most of our family was able to attend. Below are photos from his big day.

Ready for spring.

Someone is excited to ride his bike and enjoy the spring weather after a very long winter.
He's so darn excited!

Take Me Out To The Ballgame!

Drew and Matt are both playing baseball this summer. So far Drew likes it a little, but is disappointed that they no longer get snack and Matt, would play everyday if you let him. And Craig who is helping coach both boys which ends up being four nights a week could use a night off, but is enjoying some extra time with the boys. As for Ryan and I, we're at home most nights as it isn't any fun for me to chase Ryan all over the field, but he likes to go, so I'm sure we'll be making several games this summer too.

Fashionista in the Making

Can you tell who got himself dressed?

Star of the Week

In preschool the class takes turns being the Star of the Week. Which means they fill out a poster that they get to "present" to the class, they also get to pick some of the songs they sing that week and most importantly, they get to be line-leader. Can you guess who was excited to be Star of the Week?

Too Much of a Good Thing.

For those of you who don't live here in Minnesnowta, you may not be familiar with the winter we've had. It not only lasted longer than it typically does, but we got a lot of snow. Now the photo of our yard might look beautiful, but when even the kids are saying, "I don't want it to snow anymore" you know we've had too much. Hopefully Mother Nature will make it up to us and we'll have a wonderful summer! A girl can dream, right!?!

Peep Contest

Each year the local paper hosts a Peeps diorama contest. Craig's mom and the boys have been participating for a few years now and have been lucky enough to even win and get their photos in the paper. Below are their entries for this year. The top one was created by Matt and he called it "Farm Peeps" and the bottom one was Drew's idea, it was a take off of the Red Bull Crashed Ice that was hosted in St. Paul this winter. The boys loved coming up with the idea and creating them. Needless to say, they were very proud of their creations.

Easter - 2013

Below are a few photos taken on Easter this year.

Leprechaun Drew

Most people know that the Mulcahys are Irish, but did you know we have a leprechaun in the family. See the photo above for proof!

Before and After - The Snaggletooth

In late March Drew's top front tooth was so loose that it was almost hanging. We even tried pulling it out, but didn't have much luck right away. It finally came out and the new tooth was already poking through.

Rink Rats

Our neighbors build their own rink each winter and are kind enough to allow all the neighborhood kids to enjoy it. This year, they allowed the boys to borrow some gear so Drew and Matt were able to learn to skate. They of course love it, however we aren't encouraging anything as we don't want to spend the time or money that is required for hockey so the Mulcahy Boys will have to enjoy some pick-up games in the neighborhood to get their hockey fix.

5 and Growing

This year Matt participated in a 5 and Growing Preschool Class. It was by far the best decision we could have made for him. This year he has learned so many things to help him be academically ready for school, but even more importantly he has grown socially and had come out of his shell.  He will definitely be ready for Kindergarten in the fall.

2nd Grade Singing Program

Call me a sap, but I just love the school signing programs. It is so fun to watch them and my heart just wants to explode with pride watching how much the kids have grown. Below are a few photos from Drew's concert this year.

Rub-a-dub-dub, 3 boys in a tub!

It won't be much longer before we can't fit all 3 floating heads in our tub. Love, love, love this photo!

Swim Lessons

Each winter we enroll the boys in swim lessons, it helps pass time on Saturday morning and of course to help the kids learn how to swim. Drew and Matt both love the water and are getting very good. Ryan also loves the water, but I was too lazy have to get into the pool with him, so he had to settle for playing in the lockers for his entertainment.

Birdhouse Building

Matt's preschool class built birdhouses this winter. I'm not going to lie, they weren't very easy to make as an adult, but as you can see, the kids were very happy with their creations.

Lordy Lordy, Look Who's 40!

Craig turned 40 in January so we celebrated his 4 decades with friends and family. The boys were VERY excited that they were invited to attend the party.

Checking Out the Children's Museum

Back in January we had a fun visit to the Children's Museum. Below are some photos from our visit.
